Emergency Response Plan (ERP) requirements under FAA Order 8900.1 Section 3-154B set the baseline, but this module goes further and asks what happens when a venue can’t fully comply, when terrain, ground infrastructure, or local response capability fall short of the standard positioning requirements.
From there it moves into a template library for high-risk scenario types, the kind of situations an air boss needs a rehearsed response for before they happen, not during. Expect direct discussion of how ERP requirements interact with Incident Commander (IC) authority and Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) positioning.
Air Boss 102 is the ICAS Air Boss Recognition Program (ABRP) recurrency course for current Basic Air Boss (BAB), Standard Air Boss (SAB), Recognized Air Boss / Single Venue (RAB/SV), and Recognized Air Boss / Multiple Venue (RAB/MV) Letter of Authorization holders. It satisfies the recurrency topics required under ABRP Manual Section 11(a)(vi).
