Coordinating a military demonstration team, the Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, Snowbirds, or a tactical demo team, adds a layer of process most civilian acts don’t carry. This module covers current guidance for hosting these teams, including the DD Form 2535 request process for military aerial support and what a host venue needs to have in place before that request goes anywhere.

It also gets into military-civil integration on show day itself: how a military team’s airspace and timing requirements interact with everything else on the schedule, and where the air boss has to actively manage that handoff rather than assume the team will slot in cleanly.

Air Boss 102 is the ICAS Air Boss Recognition Program (ABRP) recurrency course for current Basic Air Boss (BAB), Standard Air Boss (SAB), Recognized Air Boss / Single Venue (RAB/SV), and Recognized Air Boss / Multiple Venue (RAB/MV) Letter of Authorization holders. It satisfies the recurrency topics required under ABRP Manual Section 11(a)(vi).
