Most air boss mistakes aren’t knowledge gaps, they’re workload and communication failures under pressure. This module looks at air boss human performance directly: what task saturation actually looks like from the booth, and how fatigue or channelized attention narrows a normally sharp decision-maker into someone who misses an obvious call.

The second half works through Crew Resource Management (CRM) case studies and standard word order for radio calls, the discipline that keeps a transmission clear when three things are happening at once. Expect a look at where a co-air boss or ground observer should step in and say something before a small problem compounds.

Air Boss 102 is the ICAS Air Boss Recognition Program (ABRP) recurrency course for current Basic Air Boss (BAB), Standard Air Boss (SAB), Recognized Air Boss / Single Venue (RAB/SV), and Recognized Air Boss / Multiple Venue (RAB/MV) Letter of Authorization holders. It satisfies the recurrency topics required under ABRP Manual Section 11(a)(vi).
